The dedicated committee of volunteers in NSW offers the following support to members:



Workshops & Conferences:  Regular workshops throughout the year that exprore skills, techniques and resources for music teachers.  Biannual national conferences featuring noted Australian and International educators.


Teacher Training Courses: Comprehensive and accredited training courses that teach repertoire, pedagogy and the Kodaly concept for teachers in Early Childhood and Primary levels.


Newsletters & Networking: Our regular newsletters aim to keep you informed of the latest events, provide a forum for sharing ideas and resources.  We understand the need to connect with likeminded teachers so always include time for socialising at our workshops, courses and meetings.  Come along and expand your professional network.

GÉZA SZILVAY – COLOURSTRINGS VIOLIN

As part of his 2010 tour of Australia, Géza Szilvay will be a Guest Lecturer for the October session of this special Violin Teachers training course. 

Colourstrings is a comprehensive, child-focussed, Kodály-based string curriculum, developed by Géza Szilvay and his colleagues in Helsinki.

The course will systematically guide participants through the Colourstrings curriculum.  There will be a strong focus on the implementation of Colourstrings in the Australian context.  The course will include a daily musicianship class.

Participants will receive a Certificate of Attendance at the end of the course.
